Chicks Rule!!!
After the stupid uproar that Nashville staged in response to the Dixie Chicks' stated opinion that they're embarrassed that they're from the same state as George W. Bush, the Chicks respond with a totally kick-ass song, Not Ready To Make Nice...a stark and direct song aimed at the losers who hate our freedoms (meaning the Red State yahoos who love freedom of speech as long as you never exercise it).
I bought the album, Taking the Long Way from iTunes Music Store, and discovered elsewhere that the album is #1 on the charts! Go Chicks!
And go ye to purchase the album. It's terrific.

I got my copy from amazon just yesterday! It's a great album, I'm also quite impressed with the song Lubbock or Leave It. I love the line 'I hear they hated you like they now hate me, maybe when I'm dead and gone I'll get a statue too.'
I tried to brute-force an email to unpublished email addresses I guessed they might (but seemingly don't) have that said, in effect, "I'm not ready to make nice, either, and I'm so glad you could say it so eloquently."
I also like the more subtle references to what happened to them in the title track.
And if you're into strong women who aren't afraid to say what they think, check out Pink's latest album. I'm not kidding. Two anti-war songs, one of which is a stinging critique of GWB. And other goodness, much of which is buried in pop.
Just sayin...
The Chicks totally rule. Yet another great album from them (probably their best overall). It's got a touch of melancholy, a touch of bitterness, a touch of anger, a touch of resentment, a touch of defiance, a touch of pain, a touch of hope, a touch of love, a touch of happiness, and a touch of life. BUY IT.
