Is $1T Considered “Real Money”?

The only thing I can fathom in this is that Republicans would rather have Fascism than Socialism!

What Paulson said this morning:

We gave you a simple, three-page legislative outline and I thought it would have been presumptuous for us on that outline to come up with an oversight mechanism. That’s the role of Congress, that’s something we’re going to work on together. So if any of you felt that I didn’t believe that we needed oversight: I believe we need oversight. We need oversight.

Ok, ok! We get it! You think it’s necessary to have oversight! We finally agree on something! Hurrah!

Not so fast, Gentle Readers. Here’s what’s actually in the save-their-asses document sent to Congress:

Sec. 8. Review.

Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

Don’t this stupid asses realize that someone can fact-check them? Have they heard of video and audio recording? Have they heard of the internet?
