It’s Called Multitasking, Coward McCain

What a Supreme Dickhead.

Get this: McCain wants to “delay the debate”—and even his own campaign!—so that he can return to Washington to take care of this whole $700B thingy.

WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAT?

Oh, never mind the fact that his campaign is in a landslide and the only real choice he’s probably got is to stop everything for a week or so—plenty of time for stupid Americans to have the losses slip off the shallow end of their memories. What a coward.

In other words, he’s counting on Americans’ memories being so bad that he can get a total restart on his campaign.

That’s what he’s about. What’s Obama about? He called McCain this morning to suggest they get together and issue a joint statement on what they have in common with respect to the financial crisis.

It’s called multitasking, Mr. On The Email, On the Google.

There’s NO REASON that the debates can’t continue. Congress is already proceeding apace on the financial crisis—no matter how much I might disagree with how they’re proceeding.

No sane reason, anyway.

But according to ages-old Reaganist Republican bullshit, they’re playing at gamesmanship and even more to the point, brinkmanship: force the hand and stay the course, willing to drive the world into the ground. Think: playing-chicken.

So of course the Demos will respond, looking spineless because there’s more of a care to fix things and NOT let the world end.

We’ll have to see what Obama does. Given that he made that call this morning, I figure he’s going to put the value of a unified country before his own needs.

And he may pay the price for it if he does.

By the way, did McCain forget that it’s a Democrat-led Congress?
